Fixed: Clogged Bathroom Sink
Clogged Bathroom Sink? Have you encountered a sink where water drains down slowly or not at all? That is due to clogging of the outlet of sink.
Bathroom sinks can become clogged due to various reasons. Here are some common causes:
Hair Accumulation: Hair is a frequent culprit. Strands of hair can accumulate in the drain over time, leading to blockages.
Soap Scum and Residue: Soap scum, toothpaste, and other bathroom products can build up inside the drainpipe, narrowing the passage.
Mineral Deposits: Hard water contains minerals that can accumulate and form deposits within the pipes, restricting water flow.
Foreign Objects: Items like jewelry, cotton swabs, or small pieces of any hard thing accidentally dropped into the sink can obstruct the drain.
Incorrect Use of Toiletries: Flushing items like wet wipes, cotton balls, or sanitary products down the sink can lead to blockages.
Faulty P-Trap: The P-trap (the curved section of the drainpipe) can trap debris. If it’s damaged or incorrectly installed, it may cause clogs.
To prevent clogs, consider using a drain strainer to catch hair and debris and periodically clean the drain using vinegar and baking soda. If a clog persists, try the methods as below or call Happyness ARBA Technical Services for professional assistance.
